I love Jack Bruce more for his singing and songwriting than his bass playing, though there's nothing wrong with his playing. Songs for a Tailor is one of my longstanding favorites.

Unknown Bass player I liked was Greg Arama of the Amboy Dukes from their Journey to the enter of Your Mind through Marriage on the Rocks albums with Ted Nugent on Guitar.
Greg then played with Dick Wagner(another Michigan artist from Frost, Alice Cooper, Lou Reed) in a band called Ursa Major which had originally planned to have Billy Joel play keyboards but Billy's illness resulted in UM being a trio.
Ted had fired Greg from the Dukes because of drug use and drugs led to Greg Arama demise at an early age. Ted fired a number of people in his bands because of drug use. Some like Greg never learned the lesson
